Wat Arun ( The temple of Dawn)

Then we left Wat Pho and cross the big river "Chao Phyaya River" by the boat to opposite temple
which located on Thonburi side and name is Wat Arun or The temple of Dawn which is one of the
most famous temple and welknow one in Bangkok.It glistens in the sunlight during the day and stands
dark and noble at dawn or dusk.A visit to the beautiful ,peaceful monastery complex surrounding the
familliar towers is very worth-while. These towers ,the "Phra Prang",although best known,the only part
of Wat Arun.It also contains narrow lanes, elegant ,old white buildings,shrines ,pools of turtless.
The decorations are unique,thousands of pieces of multicolored Chinese porcelain.
The central balcony commands an impressive view of Bangkok across the river.From here you can see
the Grand Palace ,the Temple of the Emerald Buddha and the spacious Wat Pho.
Wat Arun was built since Ayudhya period till 1867 ,King Taksin Maharaj prefered to move the capital
from Ayudhya to Thonburi and during took the army along the river then reached this temple at early
morning time ,since that the temple settled name to Wat Arun till nowsday.





Today whole day trip... for three famous temples in same area but spend times for seeing and impressing
more...
next trip will be outside town... please follow me...
