China Trip 5- Lingguang Temple (Temple of Diving Light )

This morning after breakfast then we go to visit the famous temple named Lingguang Temple or the Temple of Diving Light which is the most prominent of the temples in the Badachu Park ( Eight Great Sites ) at the
foot of Beijing 's western hills.This temple was built between 766-779 during the Tang Dynasty, it is best known for its Dabei courtyard, a water-lily festooned gold-fish pool and pagoda.
After Buddha  Sysakyan\muni passed away, the creation left two tooth relics, one of which was brought
to Sri Lanka by his disciples ,other brought to Pakistan and then to Xinjiang, China  In the middle of 5th
century ,the prominent monk "Fa Xian" travelled here and took the tooth relic back to the capital of Qi
dynasty ,after was sent to Chang'an and later was moved to Beijing and was preserved of Lingguang Temple
in 1071.
The Stupa which kept the tooth relic is up to 51 meters high and has 13 layers.Its base was constructed with
whited marble,reaching 2.7 meters above the ground within the hall of the temple is a seven-story structures and the Buddha tooth relic is now preserved in one meter high pure gold gagoda inside.

More people come to visit this temple daily and because the park's natural beauty has long made it a
magnet for people seeking tranquility.























Then we visit the gate ,it was built as a fortress and have all around the city.






This is the picture of this important main gate when first built. The king will come out from this gate every times to do flighting,it was tortuitous and believed that they will win to the enemy.
